About Akko Tours

Guides Who Call the Old City Home

Ancient stone architecture and Crusader walls in Akko Old City

Akko Tours was founded in 2014 by a group of historians, archaeologists, and lifelong Akko residents who wanted to share the city they know — not the version found in guidebooks, but the living, breathing Old City where children play in Crusader halls and fishermen mend nets at dawn.

We believe the best way to understand Akko is on foot. Every alley tells a story: a Mamluk fountain, a British Mandate post office, a family bakery that has used the same oven for four generations.

Our team of eight licensed guides speaks English, Hebrew, Arabic, and French. Each walk is limited to small groups so you can ask questions, pause at a viewpoint, and hear the details that make history feel immediate.

Authentic, Respectful, Unhurried

We walk at a pace that lets you absorb the atmosphere — the smell of fresh knafeh from the bakery, the echo of your footsteps in a vaulted tunnel, the salt breeze from the harbor.

We support local businesses along our routes and donate a portion of every tour to the Old City preservation fund. Our guides are trained in first aid and carry water for guests during summer walks.

Whether you have two hours or a full day, we will help you see Akko through the eyes of someone who grew up here.
